Yesterday was another challenging day in my £50 Sports Betting Challenge for Euro 2024. It seems like luck isn’t on my side, but let’s break down how things went.
The Dutch Disappointment
First up, I placed my bet on Holland to win without conceding against Poland. While Holland did secure the win, they conceded a goal when Buska outjumped Van Dijk from a corner. Honestly, nobody gets the better of Van Dijk in the air, so it was a shocking moment! Poland took the lead after just 16 minutes, making my bet short-lived. Talk about a rough start to the day!
The Elaborate Bet
My second bet was a bit more complex. I thought an elaborate bet might help me claw back some of my losses. This bet included Denmark winning their match. Unfortunately, Denmark couldn’t get past Slovenia, who managed to hold out for a draw. So, another bet down the drain.
A Rule-Breaking Win
By the end of the day, I was feeling desperate to get back on track. I noticed Bet365 had a bet booster for England to win at even odds, which was just too good to pass up. So, I bent my 20% bankroll rule and placed a £10 bet. I know, I know—I’m breaking my own rules, but sometimes you’ve got to take a risk! Thankfully, England pulled through with a 1-0 win after Bellingham scored a stunning header just 13 minutes in. Finally, a bit of good news!
Looking Ahead
Now, I’m off to decide on today’s bets. I’ll make sure to include all the math in my next blog, juggling bets across different sites makes it a bit tricky. That’s the downside of using multiple betting platforms—I have to manually calculate everything.
